Award-winning TV Writer of Channel 4’s “The Mill”
to Give Workshop

John Fay, Liverpool-born writer of the acclaimed TV series “The
Mill”, will be the guest of for a special workshop in which John will talk about
his writing, what inspires him, his influences, and his latest work as
well as passing on some tips to aspiring writers in the audience.
John’s first TV job was on Brookside. He then joined the writing
staff of Coronation Street, where he won the British Academy Television
Award for Best Continuing Drama in 2005. Amongst his other television
contributions are episodes of Clocking Off, Blue Murder, Robin Hood, Torchwood
and Moving On, as well as the three-part ITV drama series Mobile.
He began his writing career by writing and producing his own stage plays
for local theatres around Liverpool, including several plays for Kirkby
Response Theatre during the nineties. His later stage credits include
the plays and Unprotected for the Liverpool Everyman. John Fay wrote

The workshop will take place on Monday 9th September, at 7.30pm, at the
Casa on Hope Street. Members of the public welcome.
