With a ‘World in One City’ theme the Festival will be a fantastic
cultural extravaganza that showcase the unique sights, sounds, tastes
and artistic variety of the world continents, set in Liverpool City Centre.
One World Festival 2014 will celebrate the multiplicity of cultures in
Liverpool and feature a cultural fusion via Street Arts, Animation, Music,
Dance, Acrobatics and Carnival artists, presenting an artistically diverse
programme bringing the city centre to life and turning it into a powerful
cauldron of global arts.
The Festival will bring to the fore artists of many diverse backgrounds
and engage the public with performances that are rarely seen in the streets
and the mainstream.
Festival Features
- Stage in Williamson Square. Performances on the stages will feature some
of the best street, carnival, music and dance artists, presently resident
in Europe.
- Williamson Square will have over 20 stalls of cultural food, arts, crafts
and global organisations.
- International walkabouts impromptu performances and in-situ presentations
will start off at different points in the city centre and weave towards
the main hubs, interacting with the public and drawing them into the event.
Audiences will be treated to a fine mix of local, national and international
acts who will take them on an unforgettable artistic journey.
