Artist Profile - Helen Palmer
Helen is a freelance photographer specialising in architectural, commercial and fine art photography.
Her work as an architectural photographer influences all her pictures, in which she looks for abstract lines, textures and strong composition.
"I love using film and I'm really interested in the differing effects you can create,” Helen said. "I particularly like the unpredictable results of out-of-date film."
She uses a variety of cameras including a Lomo, an SX 70 and a Yashica TLX.
"I also like to document my travelling experiences, encompassing the vivid colours and differing cultures I have experienced," she added.
Helen attended Liverpool Community College between 2006-2008, in which she gained a Higher National Certificate in Photography (Distinction).
