- How many local bands can you name?' About 35 names are hidden
in this picture (Nerve 1 - March 2003)
THE ANSWERS:
25th of May – on calendar on wall.
Atomic Kitten - radioactive cat.
Bassheads – (rave duo from the Wirral, had hits in early 1990’s)
out of the window there are fish heads sticking out of the water.
The Beatles – on the floor.
Boo Radleys – one of the christians is saying Boo! and the
cat is called Radley.
Cast – on the picture on the wall, bowing.
China Crisis – broken china under the TV.
The Christians – 2 Cliff Richards/clergymen.
The Coral – in the fishbowl on the TV.
Dead or Alive – this foxed a lot of people, Lord Lucan and
Elvis on the wall, dead, or are they alive?
Echo and the Bunnymen – sitting on the stairs, a rabbit wearing
a suit, & the La! sound is repeating above him.
The Farm – at the top of the stairs behind the baby.
A Flock of Seagulls – through the window.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood – on the TV is meant to be Frank
Spencer, standing in front of the Hollywood sign.
Gerry and the Pacemakers – spelt differently, but the mouse,
Jerry, is clutching his chest which is ticking.
Half Man Half Biscuit – one of the Christians is holding a
gingerbread man.
The Hoovers – at the top of the stairs, not many people might
remember this band though.
Icicle Works – through the doorway there are icicles on the
factory works.
The La’s – the baby is crying La!
The Lightning Seeds – through the doorway the lightning is
striking a flower.
The Mighty Wah! – the baby is crying a huge Wah!
Oceanic – (another rave band from the Wirral) the ocean is
out through the window.
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark – on the picture on the
wall there is an orchestra in the pit, in the dark.
Rain – out through the doorway it’s raining.
The Real Thing – another one that foxed people, on the TV
there is a bottle of Rola Cola and a can of the ‘Real Thing’
– Coca Cola.
Shack – out through the window on the beach.
Space – again out through the window, planets and stars.
The Stairs – the stairs!
Teardrop Explodes – the baby’s tears are exploding.
Top – on the stairs, another band that not many people might
remember.
The Wild Swans – on the calendar on the wall.
Very vague ones:
Elvis Costello – Elvis on the wall.
Gemini - from after 2003 however the christians are twins in the
picture!
New Atlantic – the ocean through the window.
Smaller – one of the Christians is much smaller than the other.
The Spinners – I didn’t think of this but someone said
they thought the spinning top on the stairs was The Spinners.
The Tractors – there is a tractor amongst the farm at the
top of the stairs.
Congratulations to Addaction who got 35 bands, several of which
we hadn't thought of including The Ferrymen, The Searchers, The
Maybes, Black, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, Afraid of Mice, The
Crescent and the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra! |
