There was a huge gathering at St. George’s plateau of various groups and individuals on Saturday 21st September for a march to the Labour Party’s conference in Liverpool.

Kier Starmer has failed to stop the genocide and is complicit in supplying murderous UK weapons.

There was a huge turnout on a mostly sunny and warm day. The atmosphere was electric and heartwarming. A real tonic for those of us alarmed and shocked at the Western world’s total ignorance and indifference to such inhumanity. We needed a gathering like this to remember we are not alone in our disbelief and discomfort with this genocide. Of course our discomfort is nothing to what Gazans are living through.

It was a really diverse crowd with Muslim organisations including Friends of Al-Aqsa, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Scousers for Palestine, Neturei Karta International Orthodox Jews, various anti nuclear groups, Merseyside Pensioners Association, Trade Unions, Stop The War Coalition and many, many more.

Here’s hoping the Labour Party come to their senses and withdraw their support for such atrocities.
