An exhibition remembering the Toxteth Riots
At The Florrie, 8th-14th July 2016
A Community Call Out

“As part of our support for the Jimmy Cauty ‘ADP – Aftermath Dislocation Principle Riot Tour’ exhibition at The Florrie, 8th-14th July, we are inviting people to be directly involved in a special exhibition to tell OUR stories. To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the L8 Uprisings, ‘Aftermath 1981: A History in 35 Objects’, will attempt to tell the story of that cataclysmic time – and what happened next – through 35 different and surprising objects. What will those objects be….? That’s up to YOU. This is an exhibition that the community will create collectively, with no previous experience necessary.

If you’d like your object to be considered, please contact Tom on 07587 692 261, or email tcalderbank@tiscali.co.uk, before Monday 4th July. Tell us what the object is, and why you think its important. Each object will be looked after and returned afterwards.

Exhibition launches Friday 8th July and runs for 1 week.

Come and MAKE HISTORY!”
